spring-cleaning

As I walked by there were bins on the sidewalk, and streaming water. A woman shouted apologetically - 'Spring-cleaning!'  The sunshine inspired several people along the streets - painting gateposts, digging patches of dirt, planting flowers.

Then on to lunch with friends - the restaurant windows were wide open panels - the weather was warm, so we had removed our outer layers, but there was a definite wind
