Look what we found, when we went up into the loft to get the Christmas decorations. Made by my own fair hand, but only big enough for a doll's bed. It would be ideal for a bed cover this weather though. If I were a doll.
The style of rug is called rya (shaggy), and was common in Scandinavia. I wove it from scratch, and both backing weave and the long pile were done in wool. After a bit of searching I've found the instructions, too.
